Licensing for Microsoft Dynamics 365 products can be very confusing for a lot of people, particularly at the beginning. Especially because Microsoft Dynamics 365 collects a large number of different applications under a uniform name. It is possible to divide roughly the applications into two parts - ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) and CRM (Customer Relationship Management).
Microsoft markets Microsoft teams as the "central location for teamwork" with Office 365 applications. And in fact, the application is fully designed for the collaboration of team members. Originally introduced as a tool to make it easier for Office 365 users to operate "Office Groups", Microsoft's teams have gained more and more users through continuous development.
Since this summer Dynamics 365 for Marketing is available for customers from Germany. After the less successful attempt to integrate marketing automation into Dynamics CRM with the acquisition of MarketingPilot, Microsoft tries it with a complete redesign. A lot of companies now ask themselves if they should obtain the well-tried ClickDimensions or rather the official Microsoft product.
Yet again Microsoft was able to be recognized as one of the Leader in the CRM Customer Engagement area in the newest Gartner Report. This is already the fifth time in a row that Microsoft could position their Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement in the leading area of the “Magic Quadrant”.
