Summary of the position:

The Webinar and Event Marketing Manager is responsible for the creation, promotion and execution of digital events, including webinars, virtual conferences and live streamed product demonstrations and events, such as co-hosted events with Microsoft. This role will focus on maximizing event attendance (existing and new customers), improving the user experience, driving engagement and generating qualified leads through online events. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, be data-driven and knowledgeable of event technology platforms.

Main responsibilities:

  • Webinar and event planning: Plan, schedule and manage end-to-end digital events, from concept to execution, including logistics, technology and post-event analysis.
  • Event promotion: Development and execution of multi-channel marketing campaigns to promote digital events using email, social media, SEO/SEM and content marketing to drive registrations.
  • Content development: Collaborate with internal teams (sales, product, content) to develop engaging and educational content for webinars and virtual events.
  • Audience targeting and list building: Work closely with the CRM team to segment audiences, optimize email lists and ensure accurate targeting to maximize event attendance and lead generation.
  • Technology management: Use platforms such as Zoom, ON24, GoToWebinar or other virtual event tools to organize and manage events. Ensure a smooth technical process and resolve any problems.
  • Analysis and reporting: Track and analyze event metrics (e.g. registration, attendance, engagement, conversions) to evaluate success and identify opportunities for optimization. Provide actionable insights and post-event reports to stakeholders.
  • Lead generation and nurturing: Ensure that leads are properly passed on to the sales team after the event and track their progress through the sales chain.
  • Speaker Management: Coordinate with internal and external speakers to ensure high quality presentations, speaker training and event rehearsals.
  • Engagement tactics: Implement interactive features during webinars (e.g. Q&A sessions, live polls, chats) to improve audience participation and engagement.
  • Vendor and stakeholder management: Manage relationships with external vendors, partners and speakers for event sponsorship and event marketing collaboration.

Required skills and qualifications

  • Experience: At least 3 years experience in digital event marketing, webinar management or a related field.
  • Marketing skills: Strong understanding of digital marketing strategies and channels, including email marketing, social media and SEO/SEM.
  • Technical skills: Proficiency with webinar and event platforms (e.g. Microsoft Teams Live, Zoom, ON24, WebEx or similar) and CRM and marketing automation tools (Dynamics 365 Sales & Customer Insights, HubSpot, Marketo, Salesforce).
  • Project Management: Excellent project management skills with a proven ability to manage multiple events simultaneously and work to tight deadlines.
  • Communication Skills: Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to write persuasive marketing copy.
  • Analytical skills: Ability to analyze data and metrics to measure event success and develop future strategies.
  • Team collaboration: Experience in cross-functional collaboration with marketing, sales and product teams.
  • Problem solving skills: Ability to quickly troubleshoot problems during live events and find solutions in real time.
  • Creativity: The ability to innovate and bring new ideas to the digital event strategy to improve engagement and lead generation.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in B2B or SaaS marketing.
  • Familiarity with best practices for demand generation and lead nurturing.
  • Understanding the GDPR and other regulations in connection with event marketing.

Key performance indicators (KPIs):

  • Number of registrations and participants for each webinar/event.
  • Conversion rates of registered participants into qualified leads.
  • Audience engagement during the event (e.g. surveys, participation in Q&A).
  • Survey results and feedback after the event.
  • ROI of the event (e.g. cost per MQL) based on the leads generated and the final sales conversion.
  • Growth of the email list or marketing database due to event registrations.
